United Way connects lawyers and interns to volunteer projects. Saturday, June 24th Minor, Bell, & Neal attorneys and interns gathered at Cross Plains Community Partner to volunteer. Their mission? To wash seven vans and cars that transport Cross Plains’ clients to jobs and community activities. Cross Plains, a United Wayagency, provides day support and job facilitation for adults living with mental disabilities. (Cross Plains was formally known as Cheerhaven.) Volunteers included: Brain Wright, Alix Warren, Tom Minor, Steve Farrow, Katie Garrison, John McCown, John Neal, Jim Tucker, Judy Poag (and family), and Ty Ross, who coordinated the volunteer opportunity. United Way of Northwest Georgia Volunteer Coordinator, Andrea Dobbins remarked, “Minor, Bell, & Neal employees are truly involved in helping the community. Many of the volunteers who came out to volunteer at Cross Plains also serve or have served as board members for United Wayagencies. United Way salutes these individuals for their compassion and leadership!” To find out how your company can get involved in our community call United Waydial 211 or call 706.876.1580 if using a cell phone. |
