Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on November 28, 2009 |
Needed are tour guides that come in on a one- or many-time basis. The Guides need to be informed about the Armory and its cultural and social events as well as the Museum and its artifacts. Once a guide is in place, he or she may be called upon a few times a year to assist with special open houses or events. Eventually, the guide may want to assist and head general supervision of the Armory during events.
Guides will be given information to read and a tour or two of the Armory and its museum. This is easy because the documents are good and the museum is small, as yet. Guides must be able to walk up and down stairs. However, a museum-only guide can do work on one floor (with access available). This opportunity is sponsored by: Westerly Armory Restoration, Inc.
