2010 Farm Fall Festival at 4-H Education Center at Auer Farm

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on August 9, 2011

The Fall Festival is an annual event for families with members of all ages. There is all day entertainment, music, farm activities, pumpkin and face painting, pony rides, ice cream making, farm animals and demonstrations. This day includes hayrides throughout the 120 acre farm, a corn maze and pick your own raspberries. Participants can also learn the gardening techniques of the Connecticut Master Gardeners. The event is free and open to the public(some costs for specific activities). Volunteers are needed both pre-fair and on the day of the event.

Volunteers are needed to help us with pre-festival set-up, including weeding the gardens, cleaning the barn, setting up the sales room, creating the play and demonstration areas, and planting flowers.

On the day of the festival, we are looking for individuals to help with set-up, parking, ticket sales, food, and entertainment.

Volunteers must be over 15 years old and meet prior to the event for any necessary training.
