



![]() Volunteer Opportunity - 4-H Club LeadersVolunteer Opportunity Details:
Adults with an interest in kids and a hobby or skill that they would like share, may volunteer and the 4-H staff will recruit members OR a child or a group of children may wish to form a club around a particular interest and the 4-H staff recruits an adult to work with them. Clubs meet one to four times a month. They may meet in homes, schools or at the 4-H Center in Bridgewater. Hands on learning is stressed and field trips, community service and participation in the overall county 4-H program are encouraged. Staff and other leaders are supportive. Subject matter can be outdoor activities, arts, sciences, animal care, service, hobbies, etc. Clubs range in size from 5 members with one leader to 50 members with 5 leaders. There is a two hour orientation offered as needed and at the convenience of the volunteer. Other support meetings are held in subject matter areas, such as an arts leaders meeting or a livestock leaders meeting or a science leaders meeting This opportunity is sponsored by: Somerset County 4-H Youth Development
