Volunteer Opportunity Details:

A teacher approached us one day about a student she was concerned about. Tony, who has precious few solid role models in his life, said that instead of staying in school he’d rather be hanging with his friends who have dropped out. We let our supporters know about Tony and his need for a male role model and our prayers were answered. Not one, but two men have come forward to be friends to Tony and his family.

There are hundreds of kids like Tony who need a tutor, a mentor, a friend. Might that person be you?

Volunteer opportunities are generally during the school day or after school, though weekend opportunities do periodically arise. Currently our programs run during the school year, September-June when school is in session.

All volunteers working directly with students or on school grounds will be required to have an updated TB Test and LiveScan background check.

Reading Tutors will take part in a training to learn how to better help struggling readers.
