Volunteer Opportunity - SHARE YOUR ALOHA ON MAUI

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on December 19, 2011

Share your aloha with someone in need. Just a few hours a week can make a world of difference in someone's life, ESPECIALLY YOURS!

It doesn't take much to put a smile on the face of a senior. A friendly visit, a ride to the grocery, help around the house... goes a long way toward helping an elders to maintain independence and stay in their own homes.

NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS offers free training and mileage reimbursement for your gas. Our program can accommodate your work and personal schedule and we personally match you with someone you feel comfortable with.

Share your aloha today. Give us a call!

Big heart.
Love seniors

A Dearly Loved Friend

Two years ago I experienced severe health problems and I asked for assistance for someone to accompany me to medical appointments and to help me with shopping trips. Adele helps in every way, and has largely been responsible for getting my life back on track (at 86!) Thank you for putting her in my life. She is an incredible and a dearly loved friend.”

The best medicine I had in years

I had a problem sorting paperwork and because I have MS my stress levels were affecting my health. Then MIVC came to my rescue in a most unusual way. They paired me up with a 16 year old girl and she became my treasure. She listened to what I needed, was always on time, and recommended some better ideas than I had for organizing. I came to think of her as a friend and certainly as one of Maui's outstanding youth! It is wonderful to know that people like this exist. I know her life will be full of wonderful experiences and that many people will benefit from her caring nature. Anna, you'r the greatest!
