The mission of the AHB Home is to provide compassionate, respectful, and dignified support to citizens of central Indiana who are terminally ill and without resources. With the help of many committed volunteers we offer comfort, warmth, and love at the end of life's journey for our residents. Volunteers who assist with spiritual activities will be a part of the volunteer Chaplain program, lead Friday, Saturday or Sunday services, and provide music programs. AHB Home Volunteers must attend a 4 hour agency orientation, followed by a 4 hour end of life orientation. After completion, the volunteer shadows an experienced volunteer during a volunteer assignment. No medical experience is required, all volunteer positions are non-medical in nature. Volunteers must provide own transportation to the Home. This opportunity is sponsored by: Visiting Nurse Service, Inc. of Central Indiana
