Each Saturday, here at Eisenhower Center, we host a bingo event that is open to the public. We are looking for volunteers to sell bingo books, sheets and daubers or work in the kitchen preparing and selling hot dogs, chips, soda, etc. Volunteer as little as one Saturday per month or more often. We raise about $40,000 each year from this event and the money is used wherever necessary in our programs which provide services to adults with disabilities. Oftentimes, the money raised is used for our food pantry. We may purchase socks, coats, scarves and mittens during the winter time for our most vulnerable clients. Funds may be spent on the adaptive equipment we create to enable our clients to perform their packaging and assembly jobs. There are many needs for this funding and volunteering one day a month can make a difference in the lives of adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities.
Volunteers must be 18 and older by state law. The training necessary is minimal and provided by other volunteers. There are both ambulatory and sit down jobs available. This opportunity is sponsored by: Eisenhower Center, Inc.
