AmeriCorps Improving Health Throughout Indiana (AIHTI)is an AmeriCorps State program sponsored by the Department of Applied Health Science at Indiana University Bloomington. AIHTI pairs local non-profit organizations who need help to create or improve healthy weight programs with AmeriCorps members interested in gaining experience in health promotion while serving their community. We created an advisory council to guide our program into a sustainable future. The council treasurer will manage the donations raised by the fundraising committee and individual council members, meet as needed with the program director and advisory council president to discuss program funds for the supply budget and additional uses for the money, and will create an annual fiscal report to be presented at one of the quarterly advisory council meetings. The advisory council will meet in October, January, April, and July. The treasurer must attend all four council meetings and should meet regularly with the fundraising committee.
A background in accounting or money management is strongly desired. An interest in health, particularly nutrition and physical activity, is preferable. This opportunity is sponsored by: AmeriCorps Improving Health Throughout Indiana
