What is a docent? A docent is a trained volunteer who serves as a guide and welcomes visitors by telling them about the museum, the collection, and current exhibitions. They help make museum visits special. We are looking for help at both our Holland Museum site (31 W 10th St) and Cappon House Museum (228 W 9th St.) Museums of every type and size depend on docents. Be a docent at your local museum, Holland Museum! Applications are now being accepted! Check out our volunteer blog: HollandMVP.org for more information about volunteering!
Unique skills, such as foreign language, are valued but not a requirement. Enthusiasm, a desire to learn, and commitment are always the most valuable characteristics of a docent. Monthly training is required. Come join us! This opportunity is sponsored by: Holland Museum
