Come by to Transylvania's William T. Young Campus Center and save lives by giving blood on MLK Day (January 14, 2010)between 12p.m. and 4p.m. Your small donation will go a long way in preserving the livelihood of a member in your community. This drive is held by the Kentucky Blood Center and they will be stringently following all medical practices and precautions. To be eligible to donate blood, a person must be in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 17 years of age. (Beginning July 15, 2008, 16-year-olds in Kentucky can donate with parental consent). There is no upper age limit. Donors must provide a photo ID, such as a drivers' license or government ID.
