4-H Mentoring is a program for at-risk youth and their families. I am looking for volunteers (18 years or older) to be a mentor for children between the ages of 10-14 years and commit to at least one year (although letters, calls, and emails can count if you are away). Mentors are trained and then are matched with a youth. Mentors are asked to meet with their youth once a week for about an hour when it is convenient for both the mentor and youth to work on homework or to do fun activities that you plan together. To make your get together a little easier, we plan two activities each month for the mentors and mentees and sponsor it all. Most recently we have been to the demolition derby, Color Me Mine, Chef's Table, and a luau. If this is something you are interested in, please contact Kim. Volunteers are continually needed.
Mentors must be over the age of 18 and pass a background check. They must also commit to mentoring for one year. This opportunity is sponsored by: 4H Mentoring Utah County
