Overall Experience

A feeling of helping children right here in our Grand Rapids community right here at home.
 |
I volunteered thru the Charitable giving committee at Knapp Forest Elementary school in the Forest Hills public school system. Our children were so happy to feed our "hungry catipillar" with the knowledge of aiding kids their own ages who for whatever reason needed food for their lunches. I had the honor of delivering the collected food to KFB where I learned how many wonderful volunteers it takes to make this important program work on a daily basis. I involved my kids in the delivery process so they too could have the experience of helping others. If you are looking for a way to get involved this is a very worthwhile agency. What's more important than feeding our neighbors? posted by Barb Taber on September 16, 2005 |
