Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on August 24, 2009 |
The latest wood shop machines and tools are used to make parts for the PET hand-cranked wheelchair. Painting parts, cutting seat pads, cutting vinyl, cutting styrofoam, packaging parts and tools for shipping, assembling, packing. Metal work and welding too. A retiree in his late 70's found that he remembered how to weld. He really enjoys coming to PET and contributing his time and talent. His wife is glad too,:) he has something meaningful to do.
Orientation and training provided by supervisors. Volunteers may refuse to work on any machine they're not comfortable with. The purpose of the work is to have FUN doing it. This opportunity is sponsored by: PET MI-Holland
