Uhuru Foods sells breakfast every Saturday at Grand Lake Farmer's Market in Oakland. Uhuru Foods is a fundraiser for the campaigns of the African community led programs for social justice and economic development for African people worldwide.
Occasionally, we prepare food for streetfairs instead of for the breakfast. We mix our homemade crabcakes and veggie burgers, sauces and Jamaica Cooler.
Uhuru Foods prepares food in a kitchen in Emeryville for the farmers market every Friday night.
Become a coordinator or volunteer of this food production. We want to train someone who can do this volunteer two hour shift at least one time per month. The shift can be any time after 4 pm on Friday. We usually begin at 5:30 pm.
Have a penchant for cooking, but no particular skills required. We'll train you.
