Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Hospice and Palliative Care volunteers add to the quality of life of a person living with a terminal illness. The volunteer visits the patient to provide companionship, life review, light household help, running errands. The volunteer may provide respite care so the primary caregiver can have a break. Volunteers complete a comprehensive training so they have the knowledge to feel comfortable as a hospice volunteer. Volunteers serve no more than four hours per week per patient. Volunteers are assigned to patients who live in their own communities.

Complete application, background check, training, placement interview, and orientations, as necessary.
Complete health clearance, including TB test, after completion of training.
The minimum age for this opportunity is 18 years old.
