Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Patient Care Volunteers provide non-medical support services to young-adult-to-geriatric age adult hospice patients and their families in their place of residence i.e. Home, Skilled Nursing Facility or Adult Family Home. They increase the quality of life by offering comfort care and companionship to patients and respite and emotional support to the family system.

This is a service-learning opportunity.

At least 18 years of age.
Complete application, background check, training, placement interview, and orientations as required.
Complete health clearance, including TB test, after completion of training.

This is the mailing address for Evergreen Hospice Services. The training will be at our inpatient hospice center near Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland and volunteer opportunities are available at the hospice center, our administrative offices, and throughout King and Snohomish Counties.
