Patient Care Volunteers provide non-medical support services to young-adult-to-geriatric age adult hospice patients and their families in their place of residence i.e. Home, Skilled Nursing Facility or Adult Family Home. Volunteers increase the quality of life by offering companionship and emotional support to patients and respite and emotional support to the family system. This is a service-learning opportunity.
At least 18 years of age. Complete application, background check, training, placement interview, and orientations as required. Complete health clearance, including TB test.
