Residents in Nursing Homes Need Your Advocacy!

Join our team of elder advocates. Opportunities are available statewide. The Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman is a program that advocates for Resident Rights, Quality Care, and Quality of Life for those residing in nursing home and residential care facilities. Volunteers are provided with the education and support needed to work with individuals and their families in resolving problems and improving their life experience within these settings.

Candidates must have available transportation to their assigned facility,complete a 30 hour certification course and attend periodic statewide continuing education meetings held in Concord, NH.Travel is reimbursed at the current IRS rate to and from assignments and meetings. Volunteer candidates can meet the requirements for Certification through a traditional course as well as a Self-directed or online learning experience. Contact us at 1-800-442-5640 or 271-4396.
