DADDS (Dads Against Doing Drugs)
| Last updated on August 12, 2011 |
Our Mission is to organize a foundation of fathers as role models in applying positive actions for safer neighborhoods and communities free from drugs.
Our Vision is to Build a network of fathers to be placed strategically in perpetuating strong and healthy communities.
Description:
DADDS is a 4-part fold in Prevention, Intervention, Rehabilitation and Revitalization.
*Prevention: Creating an awareness of problems and
dangers in our communities, neighborhoods, parks and beaches.
*Intervention: Educating fathers through a session
called "Talk Story". Where fathers come to meet and support each other and to discuss the intervening strategies and solutions to the fight on the War on Drugs.
*Rehabilitation: Where resources are provided to those
who are seeking assistance to help oneself or others who are in desperate need for answers and
support.
*Revitalization: By planting seeds of positive actions
in the hearts of our neighborhoods and communities by focusing on athletic programs and community functions in creating a safe family-friendly environment.
Public awareness will be a strong focus of supporting other coalition organizations and speaking out to the public of this crippling disease that degrades individuals, destroy families, and corrupting communities.
