To provide needs to the youth and their families in our community with structured opportunities to learn the lessons of Jackie Robinson, emulate the values that he projected, and build self-confidence and self-esteem to pursue fulfilled lives. Our community events bring youth and their families together for family time to sit together and enjoy a meal and socialize with each other. So many families don't have time anymore to spend time and enjoy one another.

Description:
Jackie Robinson Park of Fame has a primary goal to be able to provide young people with a safe haven and year round activities that expand their skills and confidence. We desire to offer learning opportunities for youth and community residents through integrated activities consistent with the economic, social, cultural and civic demands of the 21st century. These activities would include academic support, cultural exposure, hands on positive activities and community service. Programs would be based on the values exemplified in the life of Jackie Robinson. We have programs that bring families together by spending quality time with each other. We supply a Christmas Program that families are all together at a family table and eat together and share gifts. We also sponsor a back to school supplies program that children and their families come together and discuss things they need for school, we also provide a beautiful Christmas Tree lighting with the entire family and sing Christmas Carols, share fun time together and light a big Christmas Tree. Some children have told us they enjoy lighting of the tree because they do not have a tree to light in their home. Our programs are family oriented to bring families and children together to share and enjoy.
