History:
Founded in 1919, Junior Achievement (JA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to “educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives.” JA puts a volunteer from the community in front of a classroom to share experiences and motivate students to succeed. This is accomplished through a series of hands-on, interactive lessons provided by JA. Programs are funded by business and community support.
