Description:
Inland Hospital is a 48 bed hospital. We have enhanced patient care and safety and our connections with Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems which allows us to provide the best care for patients in the Waterville Area. Inland is known as one of the best secrets in the community.Employing over 500 people and a staff of volunteers. In the past year we have added electronic records, 64-slice CT scan, donated over $671,000 in free healthcare. We have a Helipad, a Sleep Center, constant renovations including the most current, that of the Emergency Department expansion. Our Medical Laboratory received an award as the best of the best, we boast a "Signature Series" of World of Women's Wellness, Maine Biggest Baby Shower, and Men's Maintenance as "free" events for the community. As we grow to meet the community needs, volunteers are always in demand. Areas that you will find volunteers are: greeters both in the Emergency area as well as the Lobby; Computer skills; Hands on with our patients; Gift Shop; Medical Library; Pet Therapy; Material Management;Housekeeping; Rehabilitation;Pharmacy to name a few.
