Description:
Oakwood Village Retirement Communities are two continuing care retirement communities providing independent-living, assisted-living, assisted-living memory care and skilled nursing/rehab therapy care for older adults in Madison and Dane County. Oakwood Village West is located on 6201 Mineral Point Road and Oakwood Village East is located on 5565 Tancho Drive.
History:
Founded in 1948, Oakwood Village Retirement Community is a non-profit organization serving older adults of all religious denominations and economic backgrounds. Oakwood is affiliated with 37 Lutheran congregations in Dane County. Oakwood has set the standard in retirement living and health care for almost 60 years, and has frequently been named one of the 20 best continuing care communities (CCRC) in America by New Choices Magazine. Oakwood Village is nationally accredited by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission. Oakwood Village offers a full spectrum of care to over 1,000 residents of Oakwood Village East and West.
