Description:
Heritage Christian Services is a non-profit agency serving over 1,300 men, women and children with developmental disabilities such as mental retardation, cerebral palsy, autism, and Down syndrome through quality residential services, day programs and community services.

History:
Heritage Christian Services was founded in 1980 by parents of children with special needs. Their dream was to develop and operate homes with a loving and supportive Christian environment. They opened their first home in 1984 in Rochester.

Heritage Christian Services' presence in the Buffalo Niagara region resulted from a partnership with the Faith Foundation; a foundation committed to providing residential services to those with special needs in the Buffalo area. The Faith Foundation has since dissolved, however, support from its members enabled HCS to open its first area home and continues today.

Today, Heritage Christian Services operates 51 homes throughout Erie, Niagara and Monroe counties. In addition, we provide meaningful day habilitation programs, community and clinical services.
