Description:
The Horizon Volunteer Team Here at Horizon Home Care & Hospice, our family of volunteers are happy, productive, and making a real difference. We couldn’t do what we do in hospice without the positive energy and skill-set that volunteers contribute to the agency. To join our growing team of volunteers, all you need to do:
- Make time to volunteer because it is worth it! Volunteers often share that when they start serving in hospice, whether it is behind-the-scenes or directly helping patients, they have found the secret to living.
- Choose from one of the many volunteer roles that best match your time and talent. Direct and indirect opportunities are available at multiple locations throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
- Reach out to us - we're some of the nicest people you'll find. Let us get you started on this awesome, purposeful experience!
Our Organization Horizon Home Care & Hospice was established in 1990 and today serves as the second largest full service home care agency and hospice in Wisconsin. We are a local, non-profit organization sponsored by Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital and Columbia St. Mary's Hospital. As a leader in southeastern Wisconsin, we serve patients in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Waukesha, Washington, and Dodge counties, providing holistic care to those in-the-home, skilled nursing facilities and at the Horizon In-Patient Unit in Mequon. In addition, we have the only free walk-in Grief Resource Center in the state of Wisconsin.
