The Mission of Charity Music of Michigan is to help cultivate the next upcoming crop of young artists by providing Musical Instruments on loan, to at-risk and disadvantaged youth wishing to explore their hidden musical talents.

Description:
Charity Music Inc. is an all volunteer run 501(c) (3) nonprofit public charity consisting of five (5) major programs. (1) The Musical Instrument Loan Program which provides Musical instruments on loan to at-risk and disadvantaged youth wishing to explore their hidden musical talents. Based on availability, Social service and other non profit groups may receive items as an outright charitable donation. (2) The Music Library provides donated items such as Sheet Music, Music Books, Tapes and music Videos on loan as a community service. (3) The Adopt a School provides musical instruments and start up assistance to schools in need that do not currently have music programs.(4) The Vintage Musical Instrument Exhibit better known as the International Collectables Exhibit (ICE) consists of donated vintage instruments. The display is made available, at no charge, to organizations wishing to display the instruments at their location for public viewing. (5) The "Notes of Appreciation" Music for Our Military supplies Live Entertainment and Musical Instruments in support of music therapy programs to over 157 VA Hospitals nationwide

History:
In 1996, Roger A. Fachini Sr. launched the first pilot Musical Instrument Donation Drive, as a fundraiser, while performing his duties as President/CEO of the Macomb Symphony Orchestra in Clinton Township Michigan. While the program was well received, the request for Instruments far exceeded the donations, and the program was suspended.
From 1997 through 2003 several prominent Michigan businessman anonymously carried on the tradition of supplying Musical Instruments to the needy.
Since his retirement as Staff Industrial Engineer from General Dynamics Land Systems in 2003, Mr. Fachini has devoted his time and energy toward establishing Charity Music, Inc. as the premier all volunteer organization dedicated to the recycling, repair, and distribution of Musical Instruments to individuals in need, who wish to explore their hidden Musical Talents.
Having received nonprofit 501(c)(3) status in January 2006 (retroactive to January 2005) the organization currently has volunteers in over 36 of the 50 states.
