3S Artspace is dedicated to presenting and supporting contemporary artists and their work in order to stimulate the artistic community and creatively engage and educate the public at large, while establishing a vital and accessible regional gathering space.

Description:
3S Artspace is a start-up nonprofit organization focused on emerging arts and culture. We are currently in the planning and fundraising phase of our project to build out an 18,000 square foot building at 319 Vaughan Street in Portsmouth - within walking distance to Market Square - which will allow the organization to be fully operational.

The space will be comprised of three core components:

‣ a flexible performance space with a capacity of approx. 300.
‣ an 1,800 square foot contemporary art gallery.
‣ a farm-to-table restaurant serving three affordable meals daily.

History:
The 3S Board of Directors was formed in December of 2009 and has been working since that time towards becoming operational by the fall of 2012.
