The 4-H Youth Development education program creates supportive environments for culturally diverse youth and adults to reach their fullest potential. To fulfill this mission, 4-H provides formal and non-formal community focused experiential learning; develops life skills; fosters leadership and volunteerism in youth and adults. Achievement of our mission will result in capable, competent and caring citizens.
Description:
Four-H is the youth education program of the Cooperative Extension Service. Four-H is open to all youth, ages 9 - 19, in Metro Louisville. The goal of 4-H is to help youth gain skills, attitudes and experiences that will help them throughout life.
History:
Four-H has a long, rich and successful history of making a difference in the lives of youth. In 2009 Kentucky 4-H celebrated its 100th anniversary.
