Dallas Center is committed to providing individualized services in the least restrictive environment in order for each person served to realize their potential and participate in the mainstream of life to the highest degree possible.
Description:
Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program serves 0-3 year olds with developmental delays and their families in the home/daycare environment; Adult program serves adults with severe intellectual disabilities (mental retardation) through day program services--functional living/vocational training as determined by individual skills, behaviors and needs.
History:
Chartered in 1961, formerly known as Angels Inc., Dallas Center originally served children (6-13 years) with developmentally disabilities. 1976 facility completed, 1977 expansion of services to include infants and young children. 1978 adult services initiated. Significant need has resulted in growth/expansion of services.
