Description:
Through our Youth Center, our vision is to create a safe place for teens to connect with others and receive help as they navigate through life.

Through our Factory House our vision is to be a hub for connecting needs and resources in our community and to therefore change lives one teen and one family at a time.

The Factory Youth Center and Factory House are located in Paradise, PA between Paradise Lane and Route 30. The Factory is here to connect needs with resources. It is our desire to be a safe place where people from all backgrounds and styles can find help with basic life needs and skills and find hope for a better tomorrow.

This is accomplished through partnerships with local churches, businesses, organizations, the township, the school district, and hundreds of individuals

History:
The Factory Youth Center concept began in the first months of 1993. Out of the desire to serve the community, a committee from Paradise Bible Fellowship Church and Paradise Mennonite Church, met and planned. Through door to door surveys in the Paradise area, it was evident that the foremost need of the community centered in the lives of young people. The desire to possess a healthy and beneficial outlet for teenagers was the driving force. With this knowledge, a building on the grounds of Paradise Bible Fellowship Church was chosen and vigorously prepared. This building, in its earlier years, was involved in the creation of Army shirts during World War II. The new “Factory” would now center in developing and investing in young lives. The doors officially opened in August of 1994.
The Factory is faith-based, and therefore seeks to develop individuals on all levels of growth, whether it is spiritual, emotional, psychological, physical…etc. The ministry exists to serve as a “help” through the often troubled teen years. The philosophy of such lies in the belief that there are answers to the problems and questions of life which teens face. These answers are found in the Bible and center in the living person of Jesus Christ. Nightly operations therefore, include a fifteen minute lesson time. In such times, relevant issues are raised and discussed, with the foundation of the Bible; serving as the guide, answer or core truth. The Factory is designed with teens in mind, caring at the heart, and ears and eyes to listen and simply be a friend.
The Factory is supported through churches in the Paradise area, as well as by the generous support of businesses and individuals.
The Factory is a two-story building which accommodates a kitchen, two game areas, two bathrooms, a lounge section, as well as outside space for activities. Open Door nights are held Monday and Thursday nights from 6:00 – 8:00. During each night, competent and mature staff serves to guide and direct the activities including: basketball, waffle ball, soccer, tossing a football, skating, dodge ball, a pool table, ping-pong, foosball, air hockey, and a video game section. Food and drinks are also provided.
