Description:
Since 1975, Galaxy Counseling Center has provided compassionate assistance to more than 45,000 individuals and families in need, and in 2008 served 1713 unduplicated clients.
Agency services include counseling for abuse and neglect, sexual abuse treatment, family dysfunction, behavioral issues, various forms of mental illness, truancy intervention, and anger management. Counseling sessions are highly personalized to the needs of individual clients and treatment may utilize play therapy for children as young as three, individual counseling, family counseling, or group therapy sessions.

Early intervention and strong family involvement are important components of Galaxy’s treatment approach. Galaxy’s therapists work to assist children and families with resolving their emotional problems, thus enabling them to have healthy, productive relationships. Ultimately, this contributes to the overall health and stability of the community.
