One Leopold Laptop Per Child
I am a first grade Bilingual teacher who is working with the the UW to test and evaluate the effectiveness of the "XO" laptop developed by One Laptop Per Child (OLPC).
Description:
We are looking for people who are interested in working with a group of 13 bilingual first and second grade students in the Madison Metropolitan School District during the school day. You will work with a teacher and students to develop and implement educational programs on the XO laptop.
History:
I started working with the XO laptops in the fall of 2008 with my students. I am hopeful that someone who speaks Spanish, or is interested in improving their Spanish will help with this project. Volunteers may also help with literacy and math activities with my students.
