Agency Details:
Zing Foundation
The Zing Foundation aims to act as a catalyst, organizer, and promoter for the field as a whole (much as we did for the field of donor organizing in the 1990s). Our programs promoting Arts for Social Change aim to: Bring millions of new dollars and dozens of new long-term funders to the field of social healing arts Strengthen the infrastructure that supports the field, bringing it visibility, encouragement, and financial support Launch new partnerships between international healing arts networks and international social justice or environmental networks — partnerships that demonstrate the power and practicality of using arts to address social change goals Please note that Zing Foundation is not a grantmaking organization.
Description:
The Zing Foundation has a dual mission: to promote out-of-the-box philanthropy, and to promote the field of art and social change. We currently run two initiatives: Bolder Giving in Extraordinary Times, and the Arts Rising Funding Circle. We are a small educational nonprofit -- not a grant-making organization -- based in Arlington MA,
History:
Our founders are Anne and Christopher Ellinger, who used to run the national peer network More Than Money. We incorporated in 2004 and launched the two programs above in the summer of 2007. We're young!
