Description:
The Peace at Home Family Shelter is here to help empower survivors of domestic violence to escape abusive partners. We offer emergency shelter for women and their children and assist families with rebuilding their lives. Peace at Home provides services including 24-hour crisis line and safe house, Support groups for adults and children, Housing assistance, legal advocacy and Community outreach and education.
History:
Founded in 1977, the Peace at Home Family Shelter is the oldest shelter in Arkansas and one of the oldest in the nation. Throughout the years the shelter has helped thousands of women and children break the cycle of violence. We've provided emergency shelter for victims and advocacy for those inside and outside of our walls. The Peace at Home Family Shelter works to empower women to make their own decisions and live a healthy, happy life without the influence of a batterer.
